Partly cloudy, 90° F. Today we’re heading up north to go camping for a week. Forgiveness in advance, please, if I don’t respond to your letters.

I’m very ready for this. I get tired of the cities, and nature is beautiful. True beauty is hard to come by.

Spring is over, summer is here. May the experiences it brings be no less powerful than those of the last season.

“Make me to hear joy and gladness;
That the bones which thou has broken may rejoice.”
PSALM 51

And Jacob was left alone;
And there wrestled a man with him until dawn.
When he saw that he prevailed not against him,
He touched the hollow of his thigh:
and Jacob’s thigh was put out of joint.

...So Jacob called that place
‘The Face of God’
for, ‘I have seen God face to face, and lived.’

He walked over that place at sunrise,
And he limped as he walked.
